

On Sunday, the makers of the Sharaf U Dheen-Kalyani Panicker starrer Madhuvidhu announced that the film will now be released in cinemas on May 1, after missing its previously scheduled date of February 6. Directed by debutant Vishnu Aravind, it marks the acting debut of Kalyani, daughter of veteran actor Bindu Panicker, who plays the female lead.
The supporting cast of Madhuvidhu includes Jagadish, Azees Nedumangad, Saikumar, Sreejaya, Amal Jose and Sanju Madhu, among others. Billed as a family entertainer, the screenplay is jointly written by Bibin Mohan and Jai Vishnu. Bibin previously co-wrote Shylock, while Jai was among the writers of Madhura Manohara Moham and The Pet Detective, both of which featured Sharafudheen.
Music for Madhuvidhu is composed by Hesham Abdul Wahab, with cinematography by Viswajith Odukkathil and editing by Christy Sebastian. The film is produced by Vinayaka Ajith under the banner of Ajith Vinayaka Films.
Meanwhile, Sharaf's upcoming slate also includes Naslen-Abhinav Sunder Nayak's Mollywood Times, slated to hit theatres on May 14, Nivin Pauly-B Unnikrishnan's untitled political drama, and Shyamin Gireesh's Medical Miracle, alongside Sangeeth Prathap.
