The release of Naslen’s upcoming film Mollywood Times has been pushed ahead by a day from its earlier announced date. It will now hit theatres instead on May 14, coinciding with the release of two other biggies: Athiradi, starring Basil Joseph, Tovino Thomas and Vineeth Sreenivasan, and Antony Varghese Pepe's Kattalan.
The new release date of Mollywood Times was announced on Valentine's Day through a short video in which the protagonist Vineeth Madhavan, played by Naslen, writes a love letter to himself. The high school student from Kuttikanam refers to himself as a future Oscar winner in the letter. Naslen is presumably playing an aspiring filmmaker in this film.
Mollywood Times is directed by Abhinav Sunder Nayak, who earlier made Mukundan Unni Associates (MUA). Much like the protagonist in MUA, Vineeth Madhavan from Mollywood Times also seems to be a narcissist. The film is scripted by Ramu Sunil, who previously co-wrote the Asif Ali-starrer Rekhachithram.
Mollywood Times has cinematography by Viswajith Odukkathil and music composed by Jakes Bejoy. It is jointly edited by Nidhin Raj Arol and director Abhinav.
