The Prithviraj Sukumaran-starrer i, Nobody is set to begin streaming on JioHotstar from August 25, the streamer announced on Sunday. Directed by Rorschach-fame Nisam Basheer, the Malayalam thriller hit theatres on July 9 and opened to mixed responses from critics and audiences.
Prithviraj Productions and E4 Entertainment have jointly produced the film, which stars Prithviraj as Rajeevan, a government employee caught up in a chain of events after a bank heist. It marks Nisam's reunion with writer Sameer Abdul after their acclaimed collaboration Rorschach, headlined by Mammootty.
i, Nobody also features Parvathy Thiruvothu, Hakkim Shajahan, Ashokan, Vijayaraghavan, Nandhu and Madhupal in prominent roles. The film follows Prithviraj's Rajeevan, who accidentally becomes a witness to a bank robbery, setting up the familiar premise of an ordinary man caught in an extraordinary situation. The film's technical crew includes cinematographer Dinesh Purushothaman, music director Jakes Bejoy and editor Ramees MB. Yannick Ben, Kalai Kingson and Amith Jolly Bastin choreographed the action sequences.
An excerpt from the CE review of the film reads, "It's disappointing, or rather disheartening, to see films that are promising enough to be game-changers succumb to the 'second half curse' that's been plaguing our mainstream cinema for a while now. i, Nobody is the latest entrant to this unfortunate club of films that take off to soaring heights only to come crashing down by the end. But on a positive note, this is not a film that runs out of ideas; it's pregnant with potential even when the wheels start coming off. It simply crumbles under the weight of its ambitions.”
