Rorschach director Nisam Basheer's film i, Nobody, starring Prithviraj Sukumaran, opened in theatres on Thursday to mixed reviews from audiences and critics. In an interesting move earlier this Saturday, actor Prithviraj, who also produced the film with his wife Supriya Menon, shared three reviews for it on social media that express both positive and negative opinion about it.

One of the i, Nobody reviews calls it "nothing less than a marvel" and "a compelling heist thriller," which is "distinguished by exceptional writing and masterful filmmaking." Another review terms the first half and the second half of the film 'solid' and 'average,' respectively, before deeming its climax 'flat'. The review also says that the film is worth watching once if you go in without excessive expectations. However, the third review expressed the audience member's disappointment for the film. It says, "The movie begins with a stunning setting, but that momentum missed in the second act and the narrative completely falls apart in the end. Overall, it's so disappointing and far from the standard I expected from the maker of Rorschach."

i, Nobody Movie Review: Promising thriller marred by jarring tonal inconsistencies

In the caption for the post about i, Nobody reviews, Prithviraj suggested that film viewing is ultimately a subjective experience. "Nobody else can experience a movie for you!! Enjoy i, Nobody in cinemas worldwide," reads the caption. It is worth noting that the actor has often said that the audience should not trust reviews blindly, whether these are positive or negative, and should rather decide to watch films on their own volition. The actor also made a similar point when asked about negative reviews for Pallichattambi, where he played a cameo.

What makes Prithviraj's move more interesting is that it comes at a day and age where filmmakers are even accused of creating fake reviews with social media bots. Producers generally shy away from sharing negative reviews on social media as part of their promotional strategy. However, Prithviraj opted for the more real approach for the promotion of his film.
