Recently, we reported about the Thrissur fireworks blast causing the death of a youngster who was part of the team of Thudakkam, directed by Jude Anthany Joseph and starring Vismaya Mohanlal in her debut. It has been revealed that the young man, Bijeesh, was also Namitha Pramod's makeup artist and friend.
On Thursday, Namitha took to social media and mourned the loss of her longtime makeup artist. Sharing pictures featuring her with him, the actor wrote, "Dear Biji, I can’t express what I’m going through today. My heart feels unbearably heavy. I never imagined I would lose someone like you in the Mundathikode,Thrissur firecracker blast. I still can’t accept that you are no longer with us."
Namitha Pramod also reminisced about working with her makeup artist for a long time and how he treated her in those years. "You took care of me for more than 8 years. You were never just my makeup artist, you were family. You made me feel safe, happy, and comfortable every single day at work. I always saw you as my brother."
Namitha mentioned the attributes that made him stand out as well. "You were so innocent, so genuine… one of the purest souls I’ve ever known. Your love and excitement for Thrissur Pooram was unmatched, and it breaks my heart that you’re gone like this. I don’t know how I’ll step onto a set again without you. You were such an important part of my life. You meant everything to us. Gone too soon. I will miss you every single day. Rest in peace, Biji."
Following the tragic blast, the Devaswom Board authorities have decided to avoid the fireworks display in the the Thrissur Pooram and scale down the festival this year. After the blast, Jude and his Thudakkam star Bobby Kurian also mourned Bijeesh's passing.
