
Mamitha Baiju has visited Kochi to promote her upcoming film Dude, alongside her co-star Pradeep Ranganathan. During her visit, Mamitha talked to the media about the film, which marks her debut in Tamil cinema, and more. The actor also addressed speculation about whether she would be part of the Lokah franchise. "I do not know about that. However, I would love to be part of it if they consider me for a role in any of the upcoming chapters."
As reported earlier, hot on the heels of Lokah's success, the film's makers, Dulquer Salmaan's Wayfarer Films, announced a second instalment in the franchise. The second film in the Lokah universe is set to star Tovino Thomas in the role of Chathan/Michael.
Meanwhile, in a rare occurrence for a film releasing in theatres, Lokah has completed 50 days of its theatrical run. Recently, Lokah star Kalyani Priyadarshan said that the she contemplated retirement altogether after the massive success of the film. However, her legendary filmmaker father Priyadarshan convinced Kalyani to stay in the field for longer.
Coming back to Mamitha Baiju, the actor's film Dude is releasing in theatres tomorrow, setting the stage for a box-office clash with Mari Selvaraj-Dhruv Vikram's Bison and Harish Kalyan's Diesel.
