
The makers of Khalifa, headlined by Prithviraj Sukumaran, have announced that the film’s first glimpse, titled 'The Bloodline', will be unveiled on October 16 at 10 am on the occasion of the Jana Gana Mana actor’s birthday. The update was captioned, "#KHALIFA - The story of his bloodline. Catch the first glimpse of Aamir Ali’s world tomorrow at 10 am IST!"
Directed by Vysakh, Khalifa marks his reunion with Prithviraj more than a decade after their first collaboration on Pokkiri Raja, which was also the former’s directorial debut. The upcoming film is scripted by Jinu V Abraham, best known for the Prithviraj-starrers Masters, London Bridge, and Kaduva. Jinu, who made his directorial debut with Prithviraj's Adam Joan is also producing Khalifa alongside Suraj Kumar.
The film, which went on floors in London on August 6, is billed as a large-scale entertainer. The technical crew includes cinematographer Jomon T John, music director Jakes Bejoy, editor Chaman Chakko, and action choreographer Yannick Ben.
Besides Khalifa, Prithviraj’s upcoming projects include Meghna Gulzar’s Hindi crime drama Daayra, co-starring Kareena Kapoor Khan, and the Malayalam films Vilayath Budha by Jayan Nambiar and i, Nobody by Nisam Basheer.
