After a gap of seven months that contributed to speculation regarding his health, Mammootty is set to face the camera again for filmmaker Mahesh Narayanan's multistarrer, tentatively titled MMMN. Speaking to the media on the occasion, Mammootty reiterated that he is coming back to do a job that he "loves the most" in life. The actor also stated that his comeback is proof that "the prayers of love" from thousands of Malayalis would bear fruit before thanking everyone for their concern and regard for his health. Even as he is back on the set, the actor took time to wish one of his well wishers, Ramesh Pisharody, on his birthday.
Joining Mammootty in the political espionage thriller are Mohanlal, Fahadh Faasil, Nayanthara, Kunchacko Boban, Darshana Rajendran, and Revathy, among others. Recently, Mohanlal revealed that the tile of the film is Patriot, although the makers are yet to confirm it.
Mammootty's longtime collaborator, Anto Joseph is producing the film alongside CR Salim and Subhash Manuel. The film has been in production since November last year. It reunites Mohanlal and Mammootty after 2013's Kadal Kadannoru Mathukutty, where they had a brief scene together. The last time they played prominent roles in the same film was in 2008 for the multistarrer Twenty:20, directed by Joshiy.
