The team behind the upcoming mythical fantasy drama Ramarsa has shared new updates about their project. Directed by National Award-winning filmmaker BM Giriraj, the film, which is set to release in multiple languages, has introduced two major additions to its cast: Komal Kumar and Aditya.
Produced by Guru Deshpande and Vikram Arya under the G Cinemas Production banner with Seven Star Movies, Ramarsa is rooted in folklore and local spiritual practices, focusing on the divine power of Goddess Parashakti.
Best known for his comedy roles, Komal Kumar takes a different path this time, playing a character named Komal Kumar. The first-look poster hints at a serious, mysterious tone rather than his usual comic style. Producer Guru Deshpande shared that Komal’s role brings something fresh to the story.
Meanwhile, Aditya joins the cast as Veera Durmurgi, a character built around power and danger. Billed as a major turning point in the plot, his role is closely tied to the central mystery of the Dasha Mahavidya.
Ramarsa features an ensemble cast that includes Prajwal Devaraj as Guru Siddha, Bigg Boss Kannada winner Karthik Mahesh, Adah Sharma, Sharan as Indra Devendra, Hebah Patel, Balaji Manohar, and Vaishali.
With shooting completely finished, the film has moved into post-production, with VFX, sound work, and editing currently going on. The technical crew includes cinematographer AV Krishnakumar (KK), music director BJ Bharath, editor Arjun Kittu, and art director Hosmane Murthy, with lyrics written by Dr V Nagendra Prasad, Nagarjun Sharma, and Puneeth Rangaswamy.
The makers plan to reveal more cast members soon, along with the teaser release date.
