The teaser for director Geetu Mohandas' Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups, starring Yash, has garnered over 200 million views and 5.5 million likes across platforms in 24 hours of its release, announced the film's producer Venkat K Narayana's banner KVN Productions earlier today. The makers celebrate the milestone even as the Toxic teaser continues to spark a debate among netizens about the film's portrayal of romantic intimacy onscreen. Releasing on Yash's birthday, the teaser shows the actor's character having sexual intercourse with a woman in a car beside a cemetery. As the armed men in uniforms look curiously at the car, a bomb explodes and Yash makes a grand entry, causing sheer mayhem with his gun and adding to the body count in the burial place. "Daddy is home," his character says with a sense of swagger and style, reminiscent of the actor's iconic Rocky Bhai character from the KGF franchise. The visual of Yash coming out of a ring of fire reminds you of a similar scene featuring Sanjay Dutt in KGF: Chapter 2.

Besides Yash, the film stars Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Rukmini Vasanth, Huma Qureshi, and Tara Sutaria. On the technical front, it has cinematography by Rajeev Ravi, music by Ravi Basrur, editing by Ujwal Kulkarni, and production design by TP Abid. As many as four stunt choreographers are working on the film, and they comprise JJ Perry, Anbariv, Kecha Khamphakdee, and Amrit Singh.

Geetu is directing the film from a screenplay she has written alongside Yash. The KGF star is also producing it under his Monster Mind Creations banner, alongside KVN Productions. Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups is slated for a March 19 release in theatres. On the same day, the second part to Aditya Dhar's Dhurandhar, starring Ranveer Singh, is set to hit theatres.
