Suthan Gowda’s Valavaara has been receiving encouraging response since its January 30 release. It continues to draw attention within the Kannada film industry, with celebrities coming forward in support of the film. Written and directed by Suthan Gowda, the action drama has already received praise from stars such as Shivarajkumar and Rishab Shetty. Now, celebrated lyricist Kaviraj has added his voice to the growing chorus of appreciation for the film. Interacting with the media, the lyricist clarified that although he was not directly associated with the project, his emotional connection to cinema compelled him to support it. Reflecting on his long journey in the industry, he said that cinema has shaped his life for over two decades, providing him with livelihood and identity.
Kaviraj shared that he watched Valavaara upon the team’s request and described it as a refreshing experience. According to him, the film offers a rare sense of emotional calm and warmth. He noted that the narrative enhances feelings of love, humanity, and appreciation for life, adding that it reminded him of the serene, flowing rhythm of a Malenadu river. Calling Suthan Gowda a promising filmmaker, Kaviraj said the film has the potential to become a proud addition to Kannada cinema. He also expressed willingness to extend his support to the film in any way possible.
Director Suthan Gowda, while addressing the gathering, expressed gratitude for the positive industry response and audience reception the film has received. He revealed that the late Puneeth Rajkumar had appreciated the story and had initially planned to produce the film under PRK Productions. Following Puneeth’s demise, new producers stepped forward to support the project.
Calling the film a passion-driven venture, Suthan Gowda said the journey of Valavaara began in 2022 and described lyricist Kaviraj’s encouragement as invaluable. He further emphasised that he did not take remuneration for the project, stating that his primary goal was to narrate a meaningful story, even as the film remains rooted in commercial storytelling elements. He urged audiences to watch the film in theatres.
Produced under Morph Productions, Valavaara features Master Vedik Kaushal, Master Shayan, Malatesh, Harshita Gowda, and Abhay in prominent roles. The film’s technical team includes composer Manikanth Kadri, lyricist Pramod Maravante, cinematographer Balaraj Gowda, editor Srikanth SH, and sound design professional by VG Rajan.
