September 28 marked the birthday for Ranbir Kapoor, who is gearing up for the release of his much-anticipated mythological epic Ramayana: Part 1. On the occasion, the makers announced the official international title of their film.
Ramayana: Part 1 is now titled Ramayana: Rise of a Legend. Sony Pictures, which is onboard as the film’s overseas distributor, shared a post on their official X page, announcing the title. “Mankind’s greatest story comes to life. From the visual artists behind The Odyssey and Dune comes RAMAYANA: RISE OF A LEGEND - the most immersive 3D cinematic experience ever - exclusively in theatres, in IMAX and Premium Large Formats worldwide November 6,” the post read.
A few days ago, the makers had also revealed two new posters of their film, featuring Ranbir Kapoor and Yash. Earlier, on September 26, the team held a grand event where popular YouTube Mr Beast was in attendance, interacting with Ranbir and producer Namit Malhotra among other
Produced by Namit’s DNEG and Prime Focus Studios, the film has been mounted as an ambitious global-scale adaptation, with Oscar-winning filmmaker Hans Zimmer, AR Rahman, and Grammy-winning composer James Newton Howard attached to the music. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Ramayana: Rise of a Legend features Ranbir as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Ravie Dubey as Lakshmana, Yash as Ravana, Sunny Deol as Hanuman and Vivek Oberoi as Vidyutjihva.The ensemble cast also includes Sheeba Chaddha, Rakul Preet Singh, Lara Dutta, and Arun Govil.
The official trailer of the film was unveiled officially in August, followed by the release of the film's first song a few weeks ago.
Ramayana: Rise of a Legend will release worldwide on November 6 in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam languages.
