Kriti Sanon, who was last seen in Cocktail 2, recently spoke about her career choices and aspirations. During the same, the actor expressed a desire to play an obsessive lover, among other dream roles.
Speaking with Jumana Abdu Rahman on her podcast, Kriti said, “I'd love to play a little more gray-shaded character, like an obsessive lover kind of a character. Normally, we show obsessive love from a guy's perspective in India. Rarely do we show women being obsessed in love. That's always the guy, being obsessively in love, crossing that thin line between what is right and wrong.”
Kriti also mentioned the Netflix series You as an example, adding, “The kind of role where it kind of like crosses a line. I would love to get into the psyche of such a grey character. it's something that as an actor gives you an opportunity to play something that you're completely away from.”
It is to be noted that Kriti Sanon played the female lead in Tere Ishq Mein, where Dhanush played an obsessive lover. Refusing to label her character too as an obsessive lover, Kriti added, “He was the obsessive lover. I was just a lover who was heartbroken and was in a lot of regret and guilt. I don't think it was obsessive.”
Among other dream roles, Kriti added that she would love to play a superwoman figure or do a biopic. “I feel like the only superhero that we have in India is Krrish. Of course we've had Shaktimaan, but there should be like a female superhero. I haven't really done action, so I would love to do that. I haven't done a biopic ever. I'd love to play a real person who has an incredible story,” she added.
