Arshad Warsi, who was recently seen in Jeevan Ya Bheema Con?, is now gearing up for his next release Ghamasaan, where he will be seen in a completely different avatar. Directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia, the action-drama features him as Maharaj, a revered and feared dacoit from the Bundelkhand ravines. The actor recently spoke about his character in the film, and what makes it unique.

In an official statement, Arshad Warsi said, “The evil person that the cop is chasing here is very fierce, dangerous and he's faceless. That's the beauty of it. When you see the film, you'll know what I'm talking about. He's a character, a person that nobody has ever seen or knows what he looks like. So he's actually chasing a ghost. He doesn't know who this person is, but everybody knows that there is somebody by the name of Maharaj there.”

Talking about his preparation for the role of Maharaj, Arshad added, “You read a little bit, you chat a little bit with the director and come to know what the person is, what the director has pictured and that's it. That's all I need to put myself into it. That's what I did. I do that with all my characters.”

He also praised Tigmanshu for presenting such an ‘interesting and well-executed’ script, adding, "It was fun to play someone that bad."

Also featuring Pratik Gandhi in the lead cast, Ghamasaan is set for ZEE5 premiere on September 11.
