

Actor Sonu Sood is known for his benevolence and philanthropic efforts. Recently, he extended a helping hand to Rajpal Yadav, providing him with the promise of an advance signing amount for an upcoming film, amidst Rajpal's financial troubles related to his cheque-bounce case. Sonu Sood has promised to support flood-hit Nepal as well.
"Nepal, you are not alone. We are coming with food, shelter and the strength to help you rebuild," the actor shared at the time. In another post, he shared, "They lost their homes, their families, their childhood..but together, we will help them find a new beginning." He has now lived up to his promise, visiting an area in the flood-affected country.
Sharing pictures from his visit following the devastating floods, Sonu Sood wrote, "Standing here today at the Trishuli River, where the floods have left behind unimaginable loss..broken homes, broken families, and lives changed forever. Nepal is not alone. I stand with its people, and I will do everything I can to bring hope, rebuild homes, and help families begin again."
Further, in a video shared by ANI, he can be seen interacting with the flood-affected victims and surveying an area in Trishuli Bazar. ANI also revealed that Sonu reached Kathmandu on Tuesday to disburse relief materials for those affected by the Nepal floods. The actor is undertaking the endeavour on behalf of his namesake charity foundation. Sonu can be heard saying he would not want to witness the aftermath of such a major catastrophe. When someone asked him whether he has seen something like it, the actor replied saying, "I do not want to; the situation is quite bad."
Besides Sonu, actors such as Manisha Koirala and Arun Govil extended their support for the victims of the Nepal floods. According to reports, the death toll has surpassed 1,100, with around 5,000 reported as missing.
