On Wednesday, Amitabh Bachchan took to his X page to share a health update with his followers. The legendary actor mentioned that he would be stepping away from his regular writing for some time, after being advised to take a break and focus on his recovery.
Amitabh wrote on X, “Apologies .. I beg your forgiveness; I've been advised to take some time off for a few days to rest and recover, so I'm not able to write anything.” The actor did not share more details about the medical advice or the reason for taking the break.
A day earlier, on his personal blog, the actor had updated his fans and readers about his absence from usual fan interactions, while wishing them on the occasion of Dussehra. “First Dussehra greetings to all.. love happiness, fulfilment, prayers. Under very strict rest and recuperation... so am not allowed to communicate.... do excuse... my apologies,” part of the blogpost read.
It is to be noted that the legendary actor, who turned 84 on October 11, had recently suffered a knee injury while shooting for season 18 of his iconic TV show Kaun Banega Crorepati.
The post sparked concern among fans who have known the actor to be diligently updating his blog for years now. Amitabh Bachchan was one of the earliest film celebrities in India to take to blogging in a big way. The actor is also famous for methodically numbering his tweets ever since he made his account.
On a professional front, Amitabh Bachchan was last seen in the 2024 film Vettaiyan. His upcoming projects include Kalki 2898 AD sequel.
