The makers of Yeh Prem Mol Liya released their film’s new single, ‘Jhumka Patola,’ on Thursday. Starring Sharvari and Ayushmann Khurrana in the lead, the romantic family drama is set for theatrical release on November 27.
Sung by Shreya Ghoshal, ‘Jhumka Patola’ is a catchy number, with an easy blend of a hummable tune and foot-tapping beats all while playing within the idioms of a traditional Hindi film melody. The music video, centred on a pre-wedding ritual, is brimming with eye-catching production design, easy-going choreography and the quintessential familial warmth of a Sooraj Barjatya film. Himesh Reshammiya is the composer for the film, while the song lyrics are penned by his wife Sonia Kapoor Reshammiya.
Choreographed by Shabina Kkhan, the music video also features most of the supporting cast members of the film like Anupam Kher, Seema Pahwa, Saumya Tandon, Supriya Pathak, Swanand Kirkire and Geeta Agrawal Sharma. The costume design is by Shruti Kapoor, Sheetal Iqbal Sharma, Terrence Lobo and Gazal Gupta.
The makers earlier released two singles from their film — the title track and ‘Jai Ambe,’ both of which have collectively garnered more than a 100 million hits on YouTube.
Jointly produced ny Kamal Kumar Barjatya, Late Rajkumar Barjatya, Ajit Kumar Barjatya and Mahaveer Jain jointly under the banners of Rajshri Productions and Mahaveer Jain Films, Yeh Prem Mol Liya marks 8th directorial for Sooraj Barjatya, and his maiden collaboration with Ayushmann as well as Sharvari. In the technical team, the film has Shweta Venkat Mathew, cinematographer Manoj Kumar Khatoi and production designer Urvi Ashar Kakkar.
At the box office, Yeh Prem Mol Liya will clash against Emraan Hashmi-Genelia Deshmukh starrer Gunmaaster G9, which too incidentally has music by Himesh Reshammiya.
