We had previously reported about Arjun Rampal collaborating with Hansal Mehta for a web series titled Billionaire. On Sunday, the Dhurandhar actor shared a major update about the project, announcing that the show has officially gone on shooting floors.
Sharing a few pictures from the muhurat ceremony, Arjun captioned the announcement post, “Started this auspicious day of Navratri, seeking the blessings of Mata Devi for Billionaire.” The show is written by Anubhav Chopra and Shantanu Sagara and produced by Prabhleen Sandhu under the banner of Almighty Motion Picture. Mukesh Chhabra, who is the casting director for the series, was also present at the ceremony. More details about the primary cast of the series are yet to be announced.
As per a press release, Billionaire traces the rise of a powerful business magnate who rewrites the rules to build an empire of influence and ambition. "But when the very force that drives his success begins to consume everything around him, where does it all lead?," the synopsis further read. The show is jointly helmed by Hansal Mehta and Robbie Grewal.
Earlier, talking about his role in the show, Arjun had said, “Playing a role like this is definitely not something that comes your way every day, and when it does, you grab it. Working with the incredible Hansal Mehta & Robbie Grewal has been a dream come true and I can’t believe it's going to be fulfilled soon.”
Robbie Grewal is known for directing Aakhri Sach, Jewel Thief: The Heist Begins, and Made in India: The Titan Story.

Arjun Rampal’s other upcoming projects include the much-delayed Abbas Mustan film 3 Monkeys, and Mohanlal-starrer Operation Ganga, which marks his Malayalam cinema debut.
