Katrina Kaif's postpartum pictures from a recent public event became a point of discussion on the internet, with many making disparaging comments about her appearance. At the same time, several film fraternity members, including Salman Khan and Parineeti Chopra, supported Katrina and hit back at the critics. At a recent public event in London for her cosmetics and skincare brand Kay Beauty, Katrina spoke about social media negativity.

According to a video shared by Times Now, Katrina Kaif said, "I think we really need to be careful of letting the narrative on social media affect our self-worth and our value. Because there are so many opinions out there, that if we are going to start trying to cater to all of them, I think it really hampers your ability to make choices for yourself."

Katrina added, "Personally, for me, if every time that I faced critiques or comments, I let that dictate my actions, I think I would have been paralysed with fear and unable to move ahead in my life or in any sphere of life."

Katrina also touched upon the duality of being a public figure, especially in the age of social media. "There are times where the world is going to celebrate you, and other times you have to be your own biggest cheerleader."

Katrina added that these ethos are reflected in her beauty and skincare product brand as well. "The thinking behind Kay Beauty's tagline—"It's Kay to Be You"—is that you really have to kind of accept yourself and be true to who you are in this moment. And that is going to change from day to day, from different times and different phases in your life."

It has been a year since the start of Katrina Kaif's brand. On the film front, the actor was last seen in the January 2024 release Merry Christmas.
