We had previously reported about Nushrratt Bharuccha meeting with an accident during her Bali trip, where she suffered a major spine injury. The Pyaar Ka Punchnama actor has now been airlifted to Mumbai, for surgery.
The actor’s publicist had previously issued an official statement, sharing updates on her health. The statement read, “Nushrratt Bharuccha, who was in Bali for a work-cum-holiday trip, met with an unfortunate accident and suffered a fracture in her spine. She remains under medical observation. Following further evaluation by the doctors, Nushrratt will be undergoing spine surgery.”
It is to be noted the actor had shared a few photos from her Bali trip in a recent Instagram post.
Giving more details on Nushrratt’s current health, the statement read, “At present, our immediate priority is her health and ensuring she receives the necessary medical care. We are currently making arrangements to bring Nushrratt back to Mumbai from Bali via an air ambulance, where she will undergo the surgery."
As a concluding note, Nushrratt’s team informed that the actor's work commitment will be kept on head for a few weeks, also requesting privacy from the actor’s fans and media, adding, “Kindly allow her the space to focus on her treatment and recovery. We are grateful for everyone’s concern and good wishes and will share further updates as and when appropriate.”
Meanwhile, several videos of Nushrratt being shifted to an ambulance after her arrival in Mumbai are going viral on social media.
Nushrratt, who made her lead debut in 2010 with the Dibakar Banarjee film Love Sex aur Dhokha, rose to prominence with the sleeper hit Pyaar Ka Punchnama (2011). Her last major appearance was in the silent film Ufff Ye Siyapaa (2025).
Nushrratt’s upcoming projects include a film with Tiger Shroff, directed by Remo D’Souza, which also features Pashmina Roshan, Abhishek Banerjee, and Elvish Yadav.
