Dhurandhar: The Revenge is setting new records at the box office every day. The film has benefitted from the success of the first part and thus only took a week to cross Rs 1,000 crore at the global box office. Now, in a surprising revelation, actor Danish Pandor, who plays Rehman Dakait’s ruthless but gullible brother Uzair Baloch in the film, has said that director Aditya Dhar initially hadn’t planned a sequel for the film.

In an interview with News18, Danish said, "There was no initial discussion to make a two-part film. When we were shooting for it and the makers came across the footage, they felt it was really amazing. The script was so gripping that they couldn’t chop it off. That’s when they decided to release the film in two instalments. That’s how the plan got executed."

He added that the three-month gap between the two releases played a crucial role in the success of Dhurandhar 2. He said that both parts were shot together, just like Gangs of Wasseypur. This approach was different from most sequels that arrive after a long break. The actor feels that this helped maintain strong momentum as the story remained fresh in the audience’s mind. He also spoke about how Dhurandhar’s OTT release helped fans revisit the project.

Dhurandhar: The Revenge stars Ranveer Singh, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, Rakesh Bedi and Sara Arjun.
