On Thursday, the makers of Ek Din released the full version of their new single, ‘Khwab Dekhoon.’ This is the second song to be released by the team, following the title track.
Sung by Arijit Singh with his quintessential charm and dreaminess, ‘Khwab Dekhoon’ is a swoony romantic number which also makes interesting incorporation of asian musical style on the arrangement level. Ram Sampath has composed the number, while Irshad Kamil has penned the lyrics. Sharing playback credits with Arijit is Tarannum Malik Jain.
Interestingly, part of the ‘Khwab Dekhoon’ was also used in the Ek Din trailer, which was released a few weeks ago. Starring Sai Pallavi and Junaid Khan in the lead roles, Ek Din is mounted as a classic love story with an element of magic-realism. The film also features Kunal Kapoor in a special appearance and Kavin Dave in the supporting cast. The film is almost entirely shot in Japan, as Aamir Khan confirmed at a recent event.
The film is directed by Sunil Pandey and written by Sneha Desai and Spandan Mishra. Meanwhile, Mansoor Khan, Aamir Khan, and Aparna Purohit serve as the producers.
Ek Din is slated for a theatrical release on May 1. The romantic drama also marks Hindi debut for Sai Pallavi, who will next be seen in the much-anticipated Ramayana.
