Prakash Raj, who is one of the most prolific actors across all the major Indian film industries, is also one of the most politically vocal film personalities. The actor has never shied away from confronting and locking horns with actors and public figures over socio-political issues. In a recent social media post, the veteran actor took a dig at notable actors like Mahesh Babu, Jr NTR and Allu Arjun for praising Dhurandhar 2.
Quote-tweeting a post, which pointed out how Dhurandhar 2 has been praised by many popular Telugu actors like Allu Arjun, Mahesh Babu, NTR Jr and Vijay Deverakonda, Prakash Raj replied, “Signs of obligations are spreading south too… #just asking.”
This is not the first time Prakash Raj has expressed a contrarian opinion on popular cinema. A few weeks ago, the actor criticised the makers of The Kerala Story 2 for their divisive portrayal of minorities. The actor had also criticised Kangana Ranaut for calling AR Rahman ‘anti-national. Last year, the actor was also very vocal of the National Awards jury for not awarding Mammootty.
Earlier today, Ram Charan and Shershah actor Sidharth Malhotra too penned an elaborate note, praising and congratulating the Dhurandhar team for their accomplishment. On Thursday, praising the film, Jr NTR wrote, “A big salute to the team of Dhurandhar for delivering a storm to Indian audiences. It takes conviction and fearless vision to mount a film like this and Aditya Dhar sir brings that strength to every frame.”
