Aditya Dhar's Dhurandhar: The Revenge, starring Ranveer Singh in the lead, has opened in theatres to many positive reviews and a reported global box office collection of around 240 crore. Many film personalities from South India have already praised the movie. The latest to commend it include director Shankar and actor Ram Charan, who starred in the filmmaker's recent movie Game Changer.

"It was an astounding experience to see real incidents and characters blended so well with fiction. I was immersed throughout and couldn’t feel the length of the film," Shankar wrote about the Dhurandhar sequel. For the uninitiated, the film continues the story of Ranveer Singh's spy character, attempting to destroy terrorism in Pakistan, chronicling his rise to power in Lyari. The film is around three hours and 45 minutes long, but audiences generally opine that the storytelling by Aditya Dhar ensures that you do not feel the length.

Speaking about the Dhurandhar director, Shankar applauded his "bold and unpredictable use of craft , particularly unconventional length of shots, scenes and film." Regarding the performances, the filmmaker wrote, "Ranveer Singh's unconventional performance and terrific screen presence was a pleasure to watch," and "R Madhavan's performance was nuanced with new and apt expressions."

The legendary director complimented the casting team behind the film for ensuring authenticity in the actors' character portrayals and Shashwat Sachdev for his 'exceptional' music. "All performers and technical teams have outdone themselves. A historic moment in Indian Cinema for sure," Shankar added in his Dhurandhar: The Revenge movie review.

On the other hand, Ram Charan described the sequel to Dhurandhar as a "raw, gripping and impactful" film. According to the actor, "Aditya Dhar brings scale and emotion together seamlessly. What he has done with this film is truly remarkable." He also had high praise for Ranveer's performance in the central role, saying he "delivers a phenomenal performance - full of intensity and holds your attention throughout."

Ram Charan also said that Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, and Sanjay Dutt "stand strong with solid performances" and that "Sara Arjun is terrific in her role." The actor, too, praised composer Shashwat Sachdev's work in the film, which he says "elevates" it.

"Kudos to Jio Studios and Jyoti Deshpande for backing this vision and delivering one of the most riveting films in Indian cinema. Congratulations to the entire team," Ram Charan added.
