Actor Randeep Hooda and his wife Lin Laishram have become parents to a baby girl, the couple announced via social media on Tuesday. In a cute detail, they also mentioned that the child has born on the occasion of her grandfather, Randeep’s father’s birthday.
“दादा अर पोती नै जन्मदिन की घणिए बधाई ( Happy birthday to grandfather and granddaughter). Today, as I become a father, my appreciation for you has only grown deeper, Papa. And most importantly - Lin, thank you for making me a father and for bringing our little girl into this world. A little girl and a lifetime of love,” Randeep captioned the post.
Randeep and Lin recently shared photos from a monochrome pregnancy photoshoot of themselves.
The couple first met through their work in theatre at veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah’s Motley theatre group, where their friendship gradually developed into a romantic relationship. During the Covid‑19 lockdown, they began living together and made their relationship public on social media in 2022. They married on November 29, 2023 in Imphal, Manipur, in a traditional Meitei (Manipuri) wedding ceremony, honouring Lin’s cultural heritage. They announced pregnancy in November 2025.
On the work front, Randeep last appeared in the action thriller Jaat (2025), where he played the antagonist. He is also attached to the upcoming military drama Operation Khukri, based on a real-life Indian Army mission. Lin, on the other hand, is known for her role in Mary Kom (2014) and has appeared in films including Umrika (2015), Rangoon (2017), Axone (2019), and Jaane Jaan (2023). She is the founder and managing director of the eco-friendly jewellery brand Shamooo Sana and has launched a Manipuri cloud kitchen. She, along with Randeep, also owns an archery team in the Archery Premier League.
