The makers of Welcome To The Jungle unveiled their film’s official trailer at a grand ceremony on Thursday. The big-scale comedy entertainer, directed by Ahmed Khan, is set to release on June 26.
The Welcome To The Jungle trailer, in a rather wacky fashion, begins with a peppy number where the lyrics consist entirely of the names of its cast members, before establishing the plot. It follows a desperate filmmaker (Paresh Rawal) and his assistant (Rajpal Yadav), who assemble a team of misfits and good-for-nothings, on the orders of two underworld figures (Arshad Warsi and Suniel Shetty), to make a massive fake film about army glory.
However, things go wrong when residents of a village mistake them for real-life army personnel. And before they know, the cast and crew is attached by a real-life gang (led by Jackie Shroff). How the team manages to save their lives forms the crux of the story.
Welcome to The Jungle boasts of an enormous lead cast, reuniting 90s screen icons like Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty and Raveena Tandon after many years.
Additionally, the film features prominent names like Disha Patani, Jacqueline Fernandez, Arshad Warsi, Jackie Shroff, Lara Dutta, Farida Jalal, Johny Lever, Shreyas Talpade, Tusshar Kapoor, Rajpal Yadav, Krushna Abhishek, Kiku Sharda, Daler Mehndi, Aftab Shivdasani, Mukesh Tiwari, and Yashpal Sharma.
The ensemble cast also includes Kiran Kumar, Zakir Hussain, Vindu Dara Singh, Urvashi Rautela, Hemant Pandey, Brijendra Kala, Feroze Khan(Arjun), Late Pankaj Dheer, Puneet Issar, and Sudesh Berry.
The film is jointly produced by Firoz A Nadiadwallah, Rakesh Dang and Vedant Vikaas Baali in association with Seeta Films & Rakesh Dang.
Late screenwriter Neeraj Vora is credited for story, while Farhad Samji has penned the dialogues. In the technical team, the film has Kabir Lal as the cinematographer, Nitin FCP as the editor and Abbas Ali Moghul as the action director.
