Welcome To The Jungle, the much-awaited instalment of the popular comedy franchise, is set for a theatrical release on June 26. The makers released the title track of their film a few days ago, which marks the reunion of Ahmed Khan with Akshay Kumar and producer Firoz Nadiadwala after 19 years. Recently, Ahmed Khan spoke about the reunion, and everything that makes their new collaboration more exciting.
In an official statement, Ahmed Khan said about the reunion, "Bringing back the Welcome title track after 19 years was pure nostalgia for all of us. The moment Akshay, Firoz bhai, and I came together again, it instantly reminded us of the madness and energy that made the original so iconic. But this time, the scale, cast and entertainment are much bigger.”
Ahmed who is also onboard as a director this time, added, “I wanted the song to perfectly capture the wild, fun-filled world of Welcome to the Jungle. It has chaos, humour, nostalgia and that larger-than-life vibe audiences love. Seeing the love for the track today proves that some combinations and some memories never fade with time.”
Incidentally, the new title track is also sung by Shaan, who lends the fun number a similar madness that audiences had fallen in love with years ago. The song video feature Akshay Kumar, Suneil Shetty, Raveena Tandon, Paresh Rawal, Arshad Warsi, Aftab Shivdasani, Disha Patani, Jacqueline Fernandez. Welcome To The Jungle additionally boasts a massive ensemble, including prominent names like Jackie Shroff, Lara Dutta, Farida Jalal, Johny Lever, Shreyas Talpade, Rajpal Yadav, Krushna Abhishek, Kiku Sharda, Daler Mehndi, and Mukesh Tiwari.
On Monday, the makers released another single, titled ‘Ghis Ghis’ which captures Akshay in a particularly wacky avatar. The actor reportedly plays the role of a Bhojpuri superstar in the film.
