After nearly 2 years, Kangana Ranaut is coming up with another major film. Titled Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata, the film is based on true events around the 26/11 attack when a team of nurses bravely saved their patients at the Cama Hospital from the terrorists. The official trailer of the film was released on Tuesday.
The trailer begins with establishing the everyday struggles of its key figures (played by Kangana Ranaut, Girija Oak and others), who are nurses by profession and struggle to get a basic level of respect and empathy on both personal and professional levels.
Their integrity, however, is put to test one night in a rather life-threatening way when a bunch of terrorists attack their hospital, after gunning down countless others in the vicinity. “The headlines remembered the terror. History forgot the heroes. When terror struck, they chose courage. This is their story,” reads the logline.
Manoj Tapadia is the writer and director for the thriller drama. The ensemble cast includes Smita Tambe, Suhita Thatte, Asha Shelar, Priya Berde, Esha Dey, Rasika Aghase, Amrutha Namdev, Aditya Mishra, and Zahid Khan.
Besides headlining the film, Kangana is also producing the film in association with Shailesh R Singh, Dhaval Gada, Babita Ashiwal, Adi Sharma. The film is bankrolled under the banners of Manikarnika Films, Paramhans Creations, Eunoia Films and Floating Rocks Entertainment. Dr. Jayantilal Gada of Pen Studios is onboard as the presenter.
In the technical team, the film has Ayan Sil as cinematographer, Sunil Rodrigues as action director and Dev Rao Jadhav as editor. Gayatri Thadani is the costume designer, while production design is jointly helmed by Vikrant Shahi and Mayur Mulan.
Releasing on June 12, the Kangana Ranaut starrer will clash against Main Vaapas Aaunga and Manoj Bajpayee's Governor.
