

The much-awaited trailer of Ramayana: Part 1, the grand mythological epic starring Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, and Yash in the lead cast, was unveiled online on Thursday early morning. Besides Hindi, the trailer is also available in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, and Malayalam.
The Ramayana trailer has many surprises for the viewers. Besides beginning with the perspective of Ravana, establishing how he came to rule over Lanka Kingdom, the film also gives a rough linear timeline of the events that the first instalment of the franchise promises to capture —- The rise of Ram as a godly warrior, the union of Lord Ram and Sita, Lord Ram humbling accepting his father’s command for ‘Vanvaas,’ how Surpanakha’s pride was demolished by Lakshman — an attack that hurt Ravana’s ego to such an extent who decides to challenge Lord Ram by adbucting Sita.
The trailer ends with a visual montage of the epic war that follows to restore mankind, preluded by a vow taken by Lord Ram who promises to kill Ravana in the presence of three worlds.
The Ramayana trailer also provides glimpses of its massive ensemble cast — Arun Govil as King Dasharath, Shobana as Kaikeyi; Ajinkya Deo as Sage Vishwamitra; Kunal Kapoor as Lord Indra; Rakul Preet Singh as Surpanakha; Vivek Oberoi as Meghnath, and Ravie Dubey as Lakshmana. The ensemble cast also includes Saurabh Sachdev, Sheeba Chaddha,

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Namit Malhotra's Prime Focus Studios and eight-time Academy Award-winning VFX studio DNEG, in association with Yash's Monster Mind Creations, Ramayana: Part 1 will release worldwide on Diwali 2026, with global distribution by Sony Pictures and North India distribution by Dharma Productions.
