Ramayana Promotional Strategy
Through the Ramayana Schools Programme, more than 500 schools and hundreds of thousands of students in India have engaged with this epic's core values. The producers flew selected winners from the aforesaid programme to participate in the event on Saturday.
In addition, the makers will grant numerous content creators and fans from 20 major Indian cities exclusive preview access to the Ramayana trailer prior to its public release.
Director Nitesh Tiwari of Dangal fame helms the ambitious project, which stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravana, and Sunny Deol as Lord Hanuman, among others. Veteran actors Arun Govil, Shobana, Ajinkya Deo, Kunal Kapoor, Rakul Preet Singh, and Ravi Dubey round out the supporting cast.
The upcoming project pairs Academy Award winners Hans Zimmer and AR Rahman for its music. Ramayana's first part aims for a major theatrical release during the upcoming Diwali festive season, with its second part set to hit in the same season next year.
"India's greatest stories deserve recognition on the global stage. Ramayana is more than a mythological tale—it is an integral part of Indian life passed down through generations. Today's cutting-edge technology and creative expertise finally allow us to present this epic on an international scale in the most spectacular way possible,” said Namit Malhotra, Producer and Founder of Prime Focus Studios.
Director Nitesh Tiwari echoed this vision, emphasising that the team crafted every scene with authenticity, respect, and emotional depth. "The universal values of Ramayana make it a story for audiences across the globe," Nitesh said. He expressed confidence that the team's dedication and the cast's performances would deliver a unique, immersive cinematic experience.
Prime Focus Studios, DNEG, and Yash's Monster Mind Creations are co-producing the film, billed as one of the most ambitious ventures in Indian cinema history.
