Actor Sharvari is rejoicing the success of her film Main Vaapas Aaunga, directed by Imtiaz Ali and co-starring Diljit Dosanjh, Naseeruddin Shah, and Vedang Raina. After a sluggish start in the first week of its release, the film has achieved commercial success at the box office through positive word of mouth. According to a report from Sacnilk, it has gained more than 60 crore from theatres.
At the same time, her latest film, Alpha, co-starring Alia Bhatt hit theatres earlier this Friday. A day before the release of Alpha, Sharvari shared a photograph where she can be seen standing in the middle of the posters for both films, pointing her fingers at each of the posters. "In cinemas today" and "In cinemas tomorrow," read the text next to the posters for Main Vaapas Aaunga and Alpha, respectively. "Grateful beyond words," she wrote, referring to the back-to-back releases of the two films.
Interestingly, Sharvari is not in India for the release of Alpha. Sharing a photograph featuring herself, the actor wrote, "Miss being home on the release day of Alpha because of shoot!! But feeling all the love here in the UK!" However, the actor did not reveal the specifics of the project she is shooting in the United Kingom.
The actor's clarification comes amidst speculation about her absence from some of the recent promotions for Alpha. According to an IBTimes report, Alia recently attended a promotional event at a college in Ahmedabad where the actor joked about her co-star's absence from the event. Pulling a cutout of her co-star onto the event stage, Alia joked, "Sharu is missing, but she is here with me."
Directed by Shiv Rawail, Alpha also stars Bobby Deol, Anil Kapoor, and Hrithik Roshan in a cameo.
