Dhurandhar, the Ranveer Singh starrer spy thriller that released nearly a month ago, refuses to slow down at the box office. The Aditya Dhar directorial is one of the rare Hindi films in recent times that registered better collections in its second week, and showed a tremendous hold in following weeks.

On Wednesday, the makers of Dhurandhar made a post on their social media pages, claiming that the film’s nett earnings in India, as of Tuesday, stand at Rs 831.4 crores. If these claims are to be believed, Dhurandhar is now the highest grossing Hindi film ever, surpassing the collections of Allu Arjun starrer blockbuster Pushpa 2: The Rule (2024) that achieved great success in the Hindi belt, performing significantly better in the dubbed version than its native Telugu territories.

According to a report from Sacnilk.com, Pushpa 2 garnered Rs 812.14 crore in its Hindi version in India. However, according to the same portal and some other reports, Dhurandhar is yet to cross the 800 crore figure at the domestic box office.

It remains to be seen whether Dhurandhar will hold up well in coming days and emerge as undisputed highest grossing Hindi film ever, considering there are no major theatrical releases this week. The film might face stiff competition from Happy Patel that releases on January 16, and Border 2 that arrives on January 23.

Besides Ranveer, Dhurandhar also features prominent names like Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, Sara Arjun, Rakesh Bedi and Arjun Rampal in the primary cast.
