We had earlier reported about Tumbbad producer Sohum Shah joining hands with Pen Studios to produce Tumbbad 2. The sequel, to be directed by Adesh Prasad, promises to be bigger on scale in every which way. Now, reports are coming in that the Tumbbad 2 makers have roped in Hollywood technicians for their project.

According to sources, Los Angeles–based concept artist Simon Lee, popularly known as Spiderzero, and renowned prosthetic designer Shaune Harrison have come on board for the film. Known for his work in creature design, Simon Lee has been associated with projects like Godzilla vs. Kong, Kong: Skull Island, Pacific Rim, Star Trek Beyond, Maleficent, and The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power.  Meanwhile, Shaune Harrison has worked as a prosthetic designer on many prestigious projects like Star Wars, The Mummy, World War Z, Avengers: Age of Ultron, and all the Harry Potter films, along with the series Peaky Blinders

“Given the mythology-heavy and atmospheric nature of Tumbbad, the sequel demands a deeper, more expansive visual language. The idea is to blend rooted storytelling with world-class creature design and prosthetic work, and Simon and Shaune’s experience makes them exciting additions,” shares the source. The sequel is being produced by Sohum Shah under Sohum Shah Films, and presented by Pen Studios, led by Dr. Jayantilal Gada.
