Rajkummar Rao, who was last seen in the action-thriller Maalik, is working in a biopic next, based on the life of Indian special public prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam. Recently, a few pictures of the actor surfaced online, triggering a discourse on his surprising look transformation, including possible weight gain and hair loss. On Monday, the actor cleared the air about his look, penning a long note about his transformation for the #Nikam biopic.

Taking to his Instagram page, Rajkummar wrote, “Just finished shooting for my next Biopic Nikam and yes, it has demanded me to change physically which I love doing.” Referencing his previous works like Bose, Trapped and Srikanth, Rajkummar mentioned that he is not a big believer in prosthetic, and rather prefers to work hard to transform his look for each role. “I’ve achieved it in Nikam by gaining weight or looking old (to play a certain age) or to make my hair thin which my hair stylist was very much against,” he added.

Hopefully when you will see the film which will be releasing soon you will be able to see all that hard work in the film.”
