Director Aditya Dhar's Dhurandhar continues its dream run even after its digital premiere. The film sits at the number one position in Netflix's Tudum weekly chart for the non-English Movies section for both India and Pakistan markets. The film released on Netflix a few days. Remarkably, it is still running in theatres, especially multiplexes in major cities of India.

For the uninitiated, the aforementioned chart measures the popularity of films and series on the basis of the total runtime viewed or overall views. The aforementioned calculation applies to the week ranging from January 26, Monday, to February 01, Sunday.

Dhurandhar's popularity on the list for the Pakistan region might come across as a surprise considering its pro-India stance and the criticism it faced from the audience in the neighbouring country, especially for its treatment of the characters based in the nation. Many audiences there found that certain characters, such as Akshaye Khanna's Rehman Dakait, differ significantly from their real-life versions.

Many in Pakistan also downloaded the Aditya Dhar directorial through pirated sources, because Indian films have been forbidden from releasing in the nation for a long time now. Interestingly, not all reactions from Pakistani audiences have been saying that the film takes a stance against the country.

Films such as Tere Ishk Mein, starring Dhanush and Kriti Sanon, and Haq, featuring Yami Gautam and Emraan Hasmi, are also in the top five lists of the chart in both India and Pakistan. It is worth noting that Yami is married to Dhurandhar director Aditya Dhar. There has been multiple reports about her involvement in a special came role in the film's sequel, which is slated for a March 19 release in theatres.

The other day, the makers announced Dhurandhar: The Revenge as the title of the film. It is set to continue the story of the Indian spy in Pakistan (Ranveer Singh), this time with a more powerful role and greater clout in the political landscape of Lyari.
