Priyanka Chopra and her family celebrated the occasion of Raksha Bandhan in a rather special way. Priyanka and Nick Jonas’ daughter Malti, who turned 4 this year, sent her first Rakhi to her cousin Neer, son of Priyanka’s cousin Parineeti and Raghav Chadha, who was born last year.
Taking to her Instagram stories, Parineeti Chopra shared a glimpse of the celebration by sharing the picture of Rakhi tied on Neer’s hand, adding the caption, “Thank you Malti didi for my first Rakhi,” on Neer’s behalf. Priyanka Chopra reshared the story on her page, adding the caption, “Didi loves you Baby Neer”
This is not the first time Priyanka has continued to celebrate Indian festivals and culture in US. Last year, the Mary Kom actor shared snippets of her celebrating Diwali alongwith Nick and Malti.
Priyanka and Nick, who began dating each other in early 2017, officially tied the knot later that year in December 2018 in Jodhpur at Umaid Bhawan Palace. Their daughter Malti Marie Chopra Jonas was born via surrogacy nearly 3 years later, on January 15, 2022. Meanwhile, Parineeti and Raghav Chadha, who is a prominent politician, officially married each other in September 2023 in New Delhi after keeping their courtship discreet and away from media limelight for months. Their son Neer Chadha was born on October 19 last year.
On a professional front, Priyanka Chopra will soon be making her comeback to Indian cinema with Varanasi, the much-anticipated SS Rajamouli directorial starring Mahesh Babu in the lead. The big-scale spectacle is set for a worldwide release in March next year.
