Shah Rukh Khan is one of the biggest superstars in the world. Some even claim that he is as popular as Tom Cruise worldwide. However, no matter how big a star you are, when you come across your idol, you tend to get awestruck. It happened to the King of Bollywood as well. Following the release of Michael, the Michael Jackson biopic, an old video where Shah Rukh kissed the dais where MJ stood for a speech is going viral.
In fact, there is more to the connection between the Baadshah of Bollywood and the King of Pop. When Jackson died in 2009, Shah Rukh asked many of his colleagues from Hindi cinema to come together for a video paying tribute to the legendary musician. Singer-songwriter Vishal Dadlani revealed back then that it was Shah Rukh's idea to bring them all together for the video because of his admiration for Michael Jackson.
Shah Rukh's Red Chillies Entertainment banner produced the video, titled Make It Large — A Tribtue to Michael Jackson, to celebrate the King of Pop's 51st birthday. In the video, which is still available on YouTube, Shah Rukh can be seen saying, "We've lost a part of our history. Some of us have lost a part of our growing up. Some people teach by their words, others by their lives. Thanks for being with us, forever."
The video also features actors such as Hrithik Roshan, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Katrina Kaif, Anushka Sharma, and Shahid Kapoor, and cricketer Yuvraj Singh — all paying homage to a man who made millions cry with his music.
The video also has a song composed by and with lyrics by Vishal Dadlani and with the vocals of Shankar Mahadevan, KK, Shreya Ghoshal, and Shaan.
