The trailer of Aryan Khan’s upcoming web-series, The Ba***ds Of Bollywood was unveiled by the makers on Monday. Featuring guest appearances from Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Karan Johar and others, the series also stars Bobby Deol, Lakshya, Raghav Juyal, Sahher Bambba, Anya Singh, Manoj Pahwa, Mona Singh, Vijayant Kohli, Manish Chaudhari, Rajat Bedi, and Gautami Kapoor in pivotal roles.
The trailer gives a glimpse into its world of meta-references and spicy Bollywood gossips. Aasmaan (Lakshya) is introduced to be a brash outsider actor. He is shown to be slowly becoming a star as his film is seen running in theatres with people crowding up to him to take selfies. Arjun Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao are briefly shown in a montage while Disha Patani is seen interacting with the paparazzi while posing for photos in a red dress. In a scene, Lakshya eavesdrop on a conversation between SS Rajamouli and Aamir Khan and is later seen approaching Aamir who appears to shoo him away after asking him a strange question. Aasmaan later signs on a Dharma film and Karan makes an appearance as an arrogant producer. Bobby plays a superstar, Ajay Talvar, who is launching his daughter with a film and is not convinced with how the film is turning out to be.
At one point, Aasmaan is arrested by the cops for having links to the underworld and his world falls apart. Later, singer and rapper Badshah has a banter with Lakshya in the presence of Manoj Pahwa’s character, who seems to dislike Badshah and is shown to be punching him later in a boxing match after having insulted him. The trailer features a lot of high-intensity action sequences with emotionally charged portions and meta-humour. It ends with Shah Rukh’s brief appearance as he is not allowed inside the vanity van of Manoj Pahwa who mistakes him for Badshah and asks the security not to let him in.
The series will also feature cameos by Sara Ali Khan and Ranveer Singh. Written by Aryan Khan, Bilal Siddiqi and Manav Chauhan, the series is created by Bilal and Manav. Produced by Red Chillies Entertainment, The Ba***ds Of Bollywood is set to be released on Netflix on September 18.
