Salman Khan was the first guest on the maiden episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show Season 3. While he had a hearty laugh at the comic acts of Sunil Grover, Kiku Sharda and Krushna Abhishek, the actor also opened up to Kapil Sharma, Navjot Singh Sidhu and Archana Puran Singh about his ongoing health issues, casually mentioning that he has a brain aneurysm and trigeminal neuralgia (a chronic pain disorder that causes severe, sharp, electric shock-like pain in the face). He also shared his reasons for not getting married.
When Archana asked Salman why he always gets asked about his marriage, he said, “What difference will my marriage make in anyone’s life? The thing is that patience, those fights, the sacrifices husband and wife make for each other, the tolerance factor doesn’t exist. Today, people get divorced over snoring or a small misunderstanding.”
Kapil then asked Salman about his plans to get married, to which he said that he doesn’t want to lose his hard-earned wealth if his wife decides to divorce him. Further, he went on to share that at 59, with several health issues, he doesn’t have the strength to rebuild all his wealth if his wife decides to take half of it.
“Hum ye jo daily ki haddiyan tudwa rahe hain, pasliyan toot gai, trigeminal neuralgia ke sath kaam kar rahe hain, aneurysm hai brain mein uske bawajood kaam kar rahe hain. AV malformation hai, uske bawajood chal rahe hain (I have gotten my bones broken, dealing with trigeminal neuralgia. Despite having an aneurysm in the brain and an AV Malformation, I am working). I do action, I am not able to walk, still I am dancing. All of this is going on in my life,” he said.
He added, “Aur jahan unka mood satka, woh aadha humara leke chala gaya. Ye younger age mein hota toh theek tha, phirse kama lete. Ab wapis se, nahi ho paega (And the moment their mood gets spoiled, they will walk away with half of our earnings. Had it been in the younger days, it would have been fine. I would have earned more money, but now it won’t be possible to do so).”
Salman’s latest was Sikandar and he even took a dig on the film stating that he didn’t gain much from the film.
