Salman Khan and Aamir Khan had a playful moment at the screening of Sitaare Zameen Par in Mumbai on Thursday evening. Salman jokingly claimed that the film was originally offered to him but Aamir decided to star in it.

The funny exchange between the two was caught on camera. Salman and Aamir are seen hugging each other as Salman speaks to the paparazzi and says, “He didn’t tell you the backstory? Aamir had called me to listen to the subject. I loved the film, and said yes. Then I got a call from him saying, ‘I’m doing the film.’ I had praised the film so much that Aamir said, ‘Main phaad dunga iss picture mein. It’s outstanding’.”

Aamir was all smiles as Salman added, “Aamir also told me he liked the film, but back then, he was busy with some scripting and paperwork. I told him I wanted to do it, and the next thing I know, he says, ‘I’ve already done it.’”

The star-studded premiere of the film was attended by Shah Rukh Khan, Vicky Kaushal, Tamannaah Bhatia, Rekha, Jackie Shroff and others.

Sitaare Zameen Par has been directed by RS Prasanna and also stars Genelia D’Souza. It is a remake of the 2018 Spanish film, Champions.
