The teaser of Suniel Shetty and Jackie Shroff’s upcoming crime-thriller show, Hunter season 2 was unveiled by the makers on Thursday. Written and created by Amar Tipnis and Ali Haji, the series has been directed by Prince Dhiman and Alok Batra.
The teaser gives a short glimpse into the actioner where Suniel’s daughter has been kidnapped by Jackie’s character. Suniel vows to save her from Jackie’s clutches and is seen beating goons in hand-to-hand combat scenes. Jackie carries a menacing aura as the villain, seen wearing stylish glasses and smoking a cigar. The entire teaser features a remixed version of the old song, ‘Ek Pyaar Ka Nagma Hai’.
The synopsis of the show reads, “In Hunter Season 2, the stakes have never been higher as action, suspense, and espionage collide. But with betrayal lurking around every corner, will Vikram succeed in saving Pooja, or will the forces against him prove too powerful?”
The series is produced by Vikram Mehra and Siddharth Anand Kumar. The first season was released in 2023 on Amazon miniTV and also starred Esha Deol, Barkha Bisht Sengupta, Karanvir Sharma, and Rahul Dev in pivotal roles. The release date of the second season is yet to be unveiled but it will stream on Amazon MX Player.
Suniel was last seen in The Legend of Somnath. He will be seen next in Welcome 3, Hera Pheri 3. Welcome 3 also stars Disha Patani, Raveena Tandon, Lara Dutta, Jacqueline Fernandez, Paresh Rawal and Arshad Warsi, among others. Suniel was also seen in the ZEE5 film, Operation Fryday last year.
