Suniel Shetty opened up recently about shooting for Hera Pheri 3 promo with Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal and said that it didn’t feel like they were reuniting for the film after 25 years. The actor also said that he is in a ‘state of shock’ since Paresh Rawal announced his exit from the film.
In an interview with Lallantop, Suniel said, “We recently shot the Hera Pheri 3 promo. It didn’t feel like we three were doing Hera Pheri with Priyadarshan after 25 years! That was the continuity, that is the understanding. Our give-and-take is so wonderful.”
Speaking about Paresh’s exit, Suniel said, “It’s a shocker! It was the biggest excitement, not only for me, but also for Akshay, Paresh, their families, their people, our fans, and even for my kids. Ahan (Suniel’s son) sent me the (news) cutting today and asked me, ‘Papa, what happened? Why?'”
Speaking to ANI earlier, Suniel said that Hera Pheri cannot happen without Paresh. “It can have 1 per cent chance without me and Akshay, but 100% can’t happen without Paresh ji. No, it doesn’t. Raju and Shyam, if they’re not hammered by Babu here, it doesn’t work,” he said, referring to the characters the three play in the popular franchise.
Paresh recently confirmed his exit from the third part of the comedy-franchise after which Akshay’s production house, Cape of Good Films, sent him a legal notice. Paresh has responded to the same and said on Sunday that, “Once they read my response, all issues will be laid to rest”.
On the work front, Suniel was recently seen in Kesari Veer which released in theatres on May 23.
