Director Aditya Dhar's film Dhurandhar, starring Ranveer Singh and Akshaye Khanna in the lead roles, continues to earn praise from audiences even two weeks after its release. The latest to join the Dhurandhar appreciation club is Kangana Ranaut. The actor-politician took to her Instagram stories and said that she had "a great time" watching the film, which she called "a masterpiece". Kangana also said that she found its craft and art to be inspiring. "Huge admiration for the intent of the filmmaker," she wrote. Subsequently, she compared Aditya's prominence in Hindi cinema with that of the defence forces in the border and of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the government. The actor added that she enjoyed the film's punishing treatment of the terrorists characters as well. "Khoob kambal kutayi karo in Pakistani terrorists ki," the actor cum BJP MP wrote in her Dhurandhar movie review.
According to Kangana, while everybody who is part of the film did their job superbly, the real Dhurandhar of the show is director Aditya himself. She also gave a shout out to Yami Gautam, who played the spouse of R Madhavan's character in the film, for crediting Aditya for "the film's impact".
The filmmaker also expressed his gratitude for Kangana Ranaut's review of Dhurandhar.
Despite its detractors and the release of James Cameron's Avatar: Fire and Ash, the Ranveer Singh starrer continues its positive run in theatres.
