The first look of Aryan Khan’s upcoming series, The Ba***ds of Bollywood was unveiled on Sunday and gave a look into its over-the-top, filmy world. The series stars Lakshya in the lead along with Sahher Bambba. While the audiences have seen Lakshya before in the actioner Kill (2024), who exactly is Sahher?
The series does not mark the debut of the actor. Coming from Himachal Pradesh, Sahher has already starred in a strong supporting role in the historical-drama, The Empire (2021) and as a lead in the romantic-drama, Dil Bekaraar which came on the OTT platform Disney+ Hotstar in 2021. She was recently seen in the sports-action film, The Miranda Brothers.
The recently released first look features dramatic action sequences led by Lakshya and also infuses the softness of romance by Sahher.
As per the synopsis, The Ba***ds of Bollywood is about “An ambitious outsider and his friends who navigate the chaotic, larger-than-life, yet uncertain world of Bollywood in this high-stakes drama.”
The series also stars Bobby Deol, Manoj Pahwa, Mona Singh, Manish Chaudhari, Raghav Juyal, Anya Singh, Vijayant Kohli and Gautami Kapoor in key roles. Though its release date has not been announced yet, the preview is set to be unveiled on August 20.
Co-created by Bilal Siddiqi and Manav Chauhan, the show has been written by Aryan, Bilal and Manav.
The Ba***ds of Bollywood has been produced by Aryan’s mother, Gauri Khan.
Earlier, Shah Rukh Khan spoke of the show on X and said, “It’s very good. You all see and decide..but it’s very entertaining….and wacky and emotional. Honest Review.”
While announcing the show in February at an event, Shah Rukh had hinted at the presence a number of Hindi film celebrities in the show. He said, "I can’t name them now because Aryan has asked me not to say anything about the show. They’ve decided to show only me. I was made to shoot (the title reveal video) by Gauri and Aryan. I thank all my colleagues; they’ve done so well. I had a chance to watch the episodes; they were very funny.”
