Shah Rukh Khan spoke about his son Aryan Khan’s upcoming series Ba***ds of Bollywood during a QnA with his fans on X on Saturday. In a funny exchange with Shah Rukh Khan, Netflix’s social media account revealed that the first look from the show will be out on August 17.
Replying to a question by a fan asking him about the show, Shah Rukh said, “It’s very good. You all see and decide..but it’s very entertaining….and wacky and emotional. Honest Review!”
When another fan asked the superstar about the first look of the show, Shah Rukh tagged Netflix and wrote, “So many people asking so have to tell Netflix….Beta show bana raha hai, Baap sirf wait kar raha hai. @NetflixIndia. Tum kya Kar rahe ho??!! (Father is waiting, son is making a show. What are you doing?)”.
Netflix responded to this and said, “Bete ka teaser post karne se pehle baap se permission chahiye thi (Needed the father’s permission before posting son’s teaser). The first look will be out tomorrow.”
Shah Rukh further replied, “Yes yes yes. Please tell me the time also as Aryan doesn’t tell me anything. Aapke saath toh purana rishta hai (I have old relations with you)…so please tell me and everyone else. Too excited. Here’s to a great First Look. Thanks.”
According to a synopsis by the streaming giant, Ba***ds of Bollywood is about "An ambitious outsider and his friends who navigate the chaotic, larger-than-life, yet uncertain world of Bollywood in this high-stakes drama".
Earlier, while announcing the show in February at an event, Shah Rukh had hinted at the presence a number of Hindi film celebrities in the show. He said, "I can’t name them now because Aryan has asked me not to say anything about the show. They’ve decided to show only me. I was made to shoot (the title reveal video) by Gauri and Aryan. I thank all my colleagues; they’ve done so well. I had a chance to watch the episodes; they were very funny.”
