Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan Khan is making his directorial debut with The Ba***ds Of Bollywood, and the industry is excited for the youngster. Earlier today, one of Shah Rukh's frequent collaborators, Karan Johar took to his Instagram Stories to share an emotional note for the debutant. Aryan features as a young version of Rahul Raichand in Karan's film Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham... (2001). Sharing a still from Netflix of Aryan from the 2001 film on his Instagram, Karan wrote, "My first burst of parental love... Aryan Khan is my first born from my heart and am so proud of his sincerity!" He went on to admire Aryan's "relentless hard work and how his mind works with mainstream masal and cool narrative energy in equal measure."
The filmmaker also gave a shout out to The Ba***ds Of Bollywood and told the audience to be "ready for this mega ride!"
According to the official description, The Ba***ds Of Bollywood is a "high-stakes drama" that follows "an ambitious outsider and his friends" as they "navigate the chaotic, larger-than-life, yet uncertain world of Bollywood."
Created by Aryan, Bilal Siddiqi, and Manav Chauhan, the series features actors Bobby Deol, Lakshya, Sahher Bambba, Raghav Juyal, Manoj Pahwa, Mona Singh, Manish Chaudhari, Anya Singh, Vijayant Kohli, and Gautami Kapoor. The series has cameos from Shah Rukh, Salman Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, and Karan himself.
The series' producer, Red Chillies Entertainment is yet to announce a release date. However, Netflix has announced that its preview will be available from August 20, Wednesday.
