Gen V - Prime Video- September 29

A spin-off of The Boys, the English series Gen V is adapted from a comic book titled We Gotta Go Now, by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson. The series will feature the first generation of superheroes who compete with each other with their superpowers for the school's top ranking, only to eventually find out that their powers come from Compound V. Jaz Sinclair, Lizzie Broadway, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Marco Pigossi, Chance Perdomo, Jensen Ackles, and Maddie Phillips make up the cast of Gen V

Charlie Chopra and the Mystery of Solang Valley - Sony LIV - September 27

Starring Wamiqa Gabbi in the lead, Charlie Chopra, a Hindi murder mystery, is the official adaptation of Agatha Christie’s novel The Sittaford Mystery. Charlie Chopra and the Mystery of Solang Valley is set in the snow-capped mountains of Himachal Pradesh. The series will follow the journey of Charlie Chopra and her quest to uncover a deep mystery.

The series also stars Lara Dutta, Naseeruddin Shah, Neena Gupta, Ratna Pathak Shah, Priyanshu Painyuli, Gulshan Grover and Chandan Roy Sanyal, among many others. Hailing from Vishal Bhardwaj, the series is co-written by Anjum Rajabali and Jyotsna Hariharan along with Bharadwaj. The series is produced by Vishal Bhardwaj Pictures, Priti Sahani, and Agatha Christie Limited.

Kumari Srimathi - Prime Video - September 28

With Nithya Menen headlining, Kumari Srimathi is a Telugu comedy-drama series helmed by Gomtesh Upadhyay. The series revolves around Srimathi trying to raise funds to buy her ancestral home back by opening a bar. 

With actor, writer and filmmaker Srinivas Avasarala as the showrunner, the series also stars Gauthami, Praneeta Pattnaik, Thiruveer, Naresh, Murali Mohan and Nirupam Paritala. The series, originally shot in Telugu, will also be released in Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi. The series is produced by Swapna Dutt and Priyanka Dutt under the banner Early Monsoon Tales.

Choona - Netflix - September 29

Written and directed by Pushpendra Nath Misra, Choona is a satirical Hindi language series. The series features Jimmy Shergill, Aashim Gulati, Vikram Kochhar, Chandan Roy, Namit Das, Gyanendra Tripathi, Atul Srivastava, Monika Panwar, and Niharika Lyra Dutt among others. 

Choona revolves around a heist that is planned by a group of unlikely people, who target their common enemy Shukla and loot Rs 600 crore, which is guarded by high-level security. The series is backed by Flying Saucer.

Paapam Pasivadu - Aha Telugu- September 29

Paapam Pasivadu is a Telugu series starring Indian Idol-fame singer Sreeram Chandra, along with Raashi Singh, Srividya Maharshi and Gayathri Chaganti. Paapam Pasivadu revolves around the life of 25-year-old Kranthi, played by Sreeram Chandra, and his quest for love. The rest of the series deals with what happens to Kranthi when not one or two but three women fall in love with him at the same time.

The romantic-comedy series is directed by Lalith Kumar and produced by Akhil Vardhan. The series is produced by The Weekend Show. 

Wes Anderson's anthology shorts - Netflix - September 27

Four of Wes Anderson's short films adapted from Roald Dahl's short stories are coming to Netflix. They're titled The Swan, The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar, The Rat Catcher and Poison

The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar is an English short film featuring Benedict Cumberbatch, Dev Patel, Ralph Fiennes, Rupert Friend, Richard Ayoade, and Ben Kingsley among others. Said to explore the dark sides of author Roald Dahl's career, it is based on Dahl's story from the 1977 collection.

Tumse Na Ho Payega - Disney+ Hotstar - September 29

Backed by director Nitesh Tiwari, Tumse Na Ho Payega is a Hindi series starring Ishwak Singh in the lead role. It is directed by Abhishek Sinha. Apart from Ishwak, it also features Mahima Makwana, Gaurav Pandey, Amala Akkineni, Gurpreet Saini, Parmeet Sethi and Meghna Malik.

In the series, Ishwak decides to start a business after getting fired from his job. His friends (played by Gaurav Pandey and Gurpreet Saini) help him as he navigates through the expectations of his family and struggles against setbacks and disappointments.

Reptile - Netflix - September 29

With Benicio Del Toro, Alicia Silverstone, and Justin Timberlake playing the lead roles, Reptile has been written by Grant Singer, in his directorial debut. Touted to be a crime thriller, Reptile follows veteran detective Nichols (Benicio del Toro) as he works to solve the gruesome murder of a young real estate agent.

The cast also includes Michael Pitt, Ato Essandoh, Frances Fisher, Eric Bogosian and Domenick Lombardozzi. The film had its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 7.
