Paramount has announced that MobLand will return for a third season, ahead of the second season's premiere. The announcement also came along with the confirmation of the return of Tom Hardy.
Hardy was announced to be fired from the third season of the series, after a spat with the showrunner Jez Butterworth. After a meeting between Hardy, Butterworth, executive producers David C Glasser and Guy Ritchie, the animosity died down.
MobLand began as an adaptation of the drama series, Ray Donovan. Ritchie directed the first two episodes of the first season, which premiered in 2025. The upcoming second season is set to premiere on September 18 internationally, with a simulataneous JioHotstar premiere expected.
The cast of the series also includes Pierce Brosnan, Helen Mirren, addy Considine, Joanne Froggatt, Lara Pulver, Anson Boon, Mandeep Dhillon, Jasmine Jobson, Teddie Allen, Emmett J Scanlan, Johnny Flynn, Ophelia Lovibond, Janet McTeer, and Toby Jones, among others.
