Robert Pattinson has addressed the delay in production of The Batman Part 2 after director Matt Reeves had to step away for personal reasons. Pattinson was speaking to Official Pop Drop during promotions for Primetime.
"We're pausing for a little bit, and then we're going to figure it all out," said the actor. The film began shooting in London in June, this year. While the director shared a few glimpses of the caped crusader from the film, the makers also revealed earlier that the release of the film has been moved from October 1, 2027 to February 2028.
The cast of the upcoming film also includes Colin Farrell, Jeffrey Wright, Andy Serkis, Jayme Lawson, Gil Perez-Abraham from The Batman (2022). Joining the sequel are Game of Thrones-fame Charles Dance, Scarlett Johansson, and Sebastian Stan who is set to portray Harvey Dent/Two-Face. Barry Keoghan is also rumoured to reprise his role as The Joker.
The Batman Part 2 is set during the winter after the events of The Batman (2022) and The Penguin (2024), with Mr Freeze rumoured to be a villain.
