Michael Jackson is one of the most revered musicians in the world. Many people worship Jackson and consider him 'God-like' because of his peerless musical influence and talent, as well as his philanthropic endeavours. Even years after his passing, Jackson remains an iconic figure with the kind of cultural impact that few can match from the world of entertainment. However, do you know that Jackson was also a firm believer in God, including the almighty with deep roots in the Hindu traditions?

The King of Pop visited the Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in London way back in July 1999. Reportedly, the Hinduja Group's chairperson Srichand Parmanand Hinduja accompanied Michael Jackson during his visit to the temple.

"It was a great honor to be in the presence of the holy and the spiritual building of God," Jackson said about it back in the day. Jackson is one of the many high-profile visitors to the temple, a list that also includes Diana, Princess of Wales, Prince Charles, Prince Of Wales, business magnate Richard Branson, erstwhile UK Prime Minister Tony Blair, and former US President Jimmy Carter.

The story about the legendary pop singer's spiritual sojourn and his connection with spirituality is trending again, thanks largely to the success of his biopic, starring his nephew Jaafar Jackson. The Hinduja Group also highlighted Jackson's connection with spirituality and the company following the release of the film.

According to the Hinduja Group, their business family's connection with the singer is rooted in spirituality, culture, and a mutual consideration for giving back to society. "Through this friendship, Michael discovered a quieter side of Indian thought, from the Bhagavad Gita to the peace of temple visits. A friendship that carried India’s spirit to the world," the group revealed recently.
